Of the increase of His government there shall be no end.
Comments: can anyone help in Langley find where my gt.grandfather is buried, His name was James Slack (born in Wildboarclough 1824). He married Margaret Kemp of 43 Langley, Ridgehill in 1853. and they lived in Dirty Lane- now Cockhall Lane- Sutton. They had about 6 children including my grandfather Thomas Edmund Slack. I have also come across the name Albert ORAM Slack and Harry ORAM Slack, although I dont know where the Oram comes from. I would be very grateful for any information, as we have searched most of the local churchyards.

Comments: I was very interested to see your website. It brought back memories of the only time I visited your church, in 1959 when I was a bridesmaid at the wedding of George Whiston and Yvonne Hall. Sadly I have lost touch with them over the years.

I am the music arranger at Langley Methodist Church, Langley Estate, near Middleton, Greater Manchester. I was looking for Macclesfield Methodist Church for directions, I an attending a District Ordinands' Testimony service on Wednesday 17th May there and I came across your web page. How interesting! We are in the throws of closing because of falling numbers and it warmed my heart to know there was another Langley Methodist Church. God bless you all. Rod
